MIQU Creator Partnership
Privacy notice
This notice explains how Maison MIQU collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you apply to the MIQU Creator Partnership and, if you are selected, while you take part in it. It sits alongside the Maison MIQU Privacy Policy, which covers the website and orders.
01. Who we are
The MIQU Creator Partnership is run by Maison MIQU in the United Arab Emirates. For anything about this notice or your information, write to support@maisonmiqu.com.
02. Information we collect
When you apply:
- your full legal name, creator or display name, email address and mobile or WhatsApp number
- your country and emirate or region
- your Instagram and TikTok handles, profile links and follower counts
- your primary audience countries, content languages and creator category
- your answers about why you would like to work with Maison MIQU and your previous brand collaborations
- links to content you are proud of, and a media kit if you choose to share one
- your advertiser permit status, number and document, where you provide them
- your consents and the date and version of the application terms you accepted
From your public profiles: with your consent, Maison MIQU reviews the content, audience and engagement visible on the public profiles you share.
Automatically, when you use the application form: your browser's user-agent string (browser, version and device type) and any campaign tags in the link you used, such as utm_source or ref. The platform's records keep your IP address only as a one-way code that changes daily, used to prevent abuse. Our hosting providers' security logs may hold it for a short time.
During review: your answers if we ask you for more information, the internal assessment of your application, notes made by the Maison MIQU team, and the decision taken.
If you are selected, we also hold the information needed to run the partnership. That includes your creator agreement, compliance documents, delivery address, the content you submit and its review, and your personal creator link and code. It also covers performance figures such as link clicks, attributed orders, Net Attributed Sales and commission, plus your payout details. Payout details, when collected, are encrypted before they are stored.
03. How we use it
- to review your application, including your public profiles, and decide whether to offer you a place
- to write to you about your application, including requests for more information
- to check advertiser permit requirements where they apply
- if you are selected, to prepare your agreement, send your product allocation, track your creator link and code, calculate Net Attributed Sales and commission, and make payouts
- to keep the platform secure and prevent fraud or misuse
- to keep the records Maison MIQU is required to keep
Every application is reviewed individually by a member of the Maison MIQU team. No application is accepted or declined automatically.
04. Legal basis
We rely on your consent (to review your public profiles and, if you opt in, to message you on WhatsApp). We also rely on steps you ask us to take before entering a creator agreement, on the performance of that agreement once signed, on our legal obligations, and on Maison MIQU's legitimate interest in running a selective creator programme securely, where the law permits it. You can withdraw a consent at any time; this does not affect what was done before.
05. WhatsApp
WhatsApp messages are optional and sent only if you tick the separate WhatsApp box. You can stop them at any time by telling us in a reply or by writing to us. Email remains the main channel.
06. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- service providers that host and run the platform for Maison MIQU: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database and private file storage), Resend (email delivery) and, if you opt in, Meta (WhatsApp)
- Shopify, which runs the Maison MIQU store, for orders and creator codes once you are selected
- Trifid Media, which builds and maintains the platform for Maison MIQU
- professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it
These providers act on instructions given by Maison MIQU, or by Trifid Media on its behalf, and may not use your information for their own purposes.
07. Where your information is stored
The platform's database and files are stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany), and some providers may process information in other countries. Where information leaves the United Arab Emirates, Maison MIQU relies on contractual safeguards with these providers, made directly or through Trifid Media, and on your consent.
08. How long we keep it
- Applications that are not taken forward: 12 months after the decision, the application and your contact details are deleted or anonymised in the platform's working records, apart from the security log and message record below. A short record that an application was made and decided may be kept so that a repeat application can be recognised.
- Creators: for the length of the partnership and then 7 years for financial and contractual records, or longer where the law requires.
- Media kits and permit documents: 12 months after an application is declined, or until the end of the partnership.
- Security log and message record: the platform keeps a log of every change to application and creator records, the history of decisions and notes on each application, and a copy of each message sent to you. These cannot be edited, so they keep the details as they were at the time, including your application and contact details. They are kept for as long as the partnership programme runs, so that decisions can be checked later, and are then deleted.
09. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete your information, to restrict or object to certain uses, and to withdraw a consent. Some records, such as commission and payout records and the security log and message record described in section 08, may need to be kept. To make a request, write to support@maisonmiqu.com; we may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the UAE Data Office.
10. Security
Information travels encrypted. Files are kept in private storage and opened only through short-lived links after a permission check. Maison MIQU staff sign in with a one-time code and an authenticator app, and their access is limited by role. Every change to an application or creator record is logged.
11. Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the new version will be published here with its date. Where a change affects you materially, we will tell you.
